As part of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission’s efforts to enhance human capital development and promote global competitiveness among its staff, a 2-day capacity-building workshop was organised by the NDPC in collaboration with ID4D. The workshop was facilitated by Macmillan Keck Attorneys & Solicitors and Olaniwun Ajayi LP.
The workshop, which brought together staff from various departments of the Commission, covered several topics, including; principles of data protection, in-depth exploration of the Nigerian Data Protection Act, compliance,responsibilities of data controllers and processors regarding cross-border data transfers, as well as investigation and enforcement.
