NDPC Focuses on Staff Wellness with Free Eye Screening Exercise

In its effort to ensure the overall health and wellness of its staff, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission received a team from Skipper Eye Q Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Abuja, led by Mrs Felicia Abebah, at the Commission for a free eye screening exercise.

In his remarks, the National Commissioner/CEO of the NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, commended the management of Skipper Eye Q for the initiative. He noted that health should be considered as wealth, and encouraged members of the Commission to take care of their health.

He took the opportunity to enlighten the representatives of the hospital on data protection and privacy, urging them to prioritise both, as they process sensitive personal data daily. Additionally, he offered, on behalf of the Commission, to provide training for the hospital’s staff on data protection and privacy.

The screening exercise also served as a platform for awareness on the dangers of glaucoma, cataract, and diabetic retinopathy.
