The National Commissioner/CEO of the NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, received a delegation from Morocco’s Commission Nationale de Contrôle de la Protection des Données à Caractère Personnel (CNDP)—also known as the National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data, Morocco—which doubles as the Permanent Secretariat of the NADPA-RAPDP. The visit aimed to explore a strategic partnership between the NDPC and the CNDP.
The President of the CNDP, Mr Omar Seghrouchni thanked Dr Olatunji for accepting the Moroccan delegation’s request to engage in knowledge sharing and the exchange of regulatory frameworks for the mutual benefit of both nations. He acknowledged Dr Olatunji’s global influence in the ecosystem, and expressed his desire for Africa to benefit from his wealth of experience.
Dr Olatunji, warmly welcomed the Moroccan delegation, and commended Mr Seghrouchni for his efforts in the growth of NADPA-RAPDP. He stated that the NDPC is committed to advancing data protection and privacy not only in Nigeria but across Africa, and ultimately, the world. He expressed Nigeria’s readiness to collaborate with Morocco to strengthen data protection and privacy in both nations.
