NADPA-RAPDP Conference Highlights Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) for Data Innovation

The 2025 edition of the Network of African Data Protection Authorities (NADPA-RAPDP) Conference and Annual General Meeting featured a Masterclass titled “Enabling Privacy and Innovation through Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs).”

The comprehensive session enabled participants to gain a deep understanding of PETs through a structured mental model. It afforded participants the opportunity to learn how these technologies can help organisations meet data protection and privacy obligations while unlocking the value of data, and guided attendees on when the use of PETs is most appropriate.

The Masterclass also provided participants with a mental framework for identifying the right questions to ask technical and commercial stakeholders before initiating projects involving PETs. Additionally, it included practical examples and demonstrations showcasing real-life applications of these technologies.
