Building the Future: NDPC Holds Strategic HR Restructuring Retreat in Abuja

The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has commenced a two-day Human Resources Restructuring Retreat for members of staff of the Commission at the National Army Conference Centre, Abuja.

The National Commissioner/CEO of the NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, who led the NDPC team, delivered the opening remarks, emphasising that human resources remain the most critical asset required to drive the success of any organisation.

Dr Olatunji noted that, in order to achieve the Commission’s desired goals, fulfil the mandate of the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, and implement the Commission’s strategic roadmap, it is important to build a sustainable staff structure. He emphasised that the structure must also align with the Public Service Rules of Nigeria and global best practices.

The retreat, which had heads and members of each department and unit of the Commission, focuses on repositioning the Commission for enhanced organisational performance, improved workforce orientation, effectiveness and efficiency, organisational restructuring, as well as strategic and ethical leadership development.
