Alliance Trust Partner Advocates for Cross-Border Harmonization of Data Rules at Abuja Summit

In furtherance of the National Data Privacy Summit 2026, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Managing Partner at Alliance Trust Firm, Uche Val Obi, delivered a keynote speech on the Summit theme, “Privacy in the Era of Emerging Technologies: Trust, Ethics and Innovation.”

As part of the Summit, the second edition of the International Journal of Data Protection and Privacy, published by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), was unveiled by the National Commissioner/CEO of the NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, alongside the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Epe Division, Lagos State, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo.

Also, the Secondary School Data Challenge, an initiative by the NDPC aimed at sensitising students in secondary schools about data protection and privacy, was officially launched, with the presentation of gifts to winners of the pilot phase.
