The National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Dr Vincent Olatunji, delivered a goodwill message at the Nigeria Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON ’26), organised by the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

Speaking at the event themed “Mobilising Private Capital for Sustainable Infrastructure Development in Nigeria,” Dr Olatunji highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in building sustainable infrastructure to enhance overall development in Nigeria. He stated that every stakeholder in Nigeria’s economy has a role to play and encouraged greater private sector investment in sustainable infrastructure across the country.

Dr Olatunji noted that the NDPC and NACCIMA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the digital landscape by ensuring that the personal data of Nigerians and legal residents are protected. He added that the NDPC is recognised as one of the most progressive Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) because of its unique approach to data governance. He reiterated that the Commission is committed to ensuring that Nigeria is safe for digital business and to attracting foreign direct investment in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
