NDPC and International Counterparts Share Policy Updates on Evolving Technology Landscape

The National Commissioner/CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission(NDPC), Dr Vincent Olatunji, led a delegation to the 47th Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) taking place in Seoul, South Korea.

With participation from over 148 Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) and other organisations across 95 countries, the GPA remains a leading international forum for DPAs to share policy updates and engage in critical discussions on the evolving landscape of technology and privacy, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The theme of this year’s Assembly, “Artificial Intelligence in Our Daily Lives: Data and Privacy Issues,” highlights the growing significance of AI and its impact on personal data and privacy.

In addition to participating in the main sessions, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) also held bilateral meetings with key stakeholders. These meetings aimed to strengthen collaboration, promote best practices, and discuss legal and regulatory requirements.
