The National Commissioner of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Dr Vincent Olatunji, who was ably represented by the NDPC’s Head of IT & Cybersecurity, Mr Olorunisomo Isola, joined the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr ‘Bosun Tijani, and key stakeholders at the official launch of MTN Nigeria’s Cloud Service Platform and state-of-the-art Tier III Data Centre in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The event also had the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was ably represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, in attendance, as well as other prominent dignitaries.
Delivering the National Commissioner’s goodwill message, Mr Isola applauded MTN Nigeria’s strategic investment in local cloud and data centre infrastructure, underscoring the vital role of trusted, secure, and sovereign data hosting in driving Nigeria’s digital economy. He commended MTN Nigeria’s leadership in building digital infrastructure that empowers businesses, strengthens data protection assurance, and reinforces national digital trust.
