NDPC Staff Receive Specialized Cybersecurity Training to Mark Awareness Month

As part of activities marking the ongoing Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) in collaboration with CyberdefleX, organised a specialised training session on cybersecurity for staff of the Commission.

The National Commissioner and CEO of the NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, commended the CyberdefleX team, led by the CEO, Ademakin Oluwatosin, for their partnership and commitment to enhancing the cybersecurity and data protection knowledge of Commission staff. He emphasised that cybersecurity remains a vital area of capacity building for the Commission and noted that strategic partnerships such as this continue to contribute significantly to the Commission’s success.

The training was designed to enlighten staff on key cybersecurity best practices, covering critical topics such as cyber incident response, data classification protocols, effective password management, phishing identification and prevention, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and the importance of regular software updates.

This initiative reinforces the Commission’s commitment to strengthening a culture of cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy across its operations.
