The climax of National Privacy Week 2026 organised by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) was the Dinner and Awards Night held at the Transcorp Centre, Abuja.

The National Commissioner/CEO of the NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, led members of staff, partners from the public and private sectors, civil society and other industry stakeholders to the event, where His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, was honoured with the Data Privacy Royal Ambassador Award.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was recognised as the Most Compliant Public Sector Institution, while Zenith Bank was awarded the Most Compliant Private Sector Organisation. The President of the Data and Knowledge Information Privacy Protection Initiative (DKPPI), Mr Tokunbo Smith, was also honoured in recognition of his collaboration and unwavering commitment to advancing data protection and privacy in Nigeria.
